You’ve watched Uptown Dance Company performs on stage, and you’ve seen the dancers on Facebook or Instagram, but how well do you REALLY know our dancers?
This March, meet the multi-talented Amy Phillips. Not only you have seen Amy on stage dancing, you will also see her in classroom teaching, in UDC office as an administrator, and online as UDC’s webmaster and social media guru! Come join Amy and the rest of Uptown Dance Company on March 3rd and 4th for Spring Fusion and Uptown Dance Gala 2017!

Soaking in Japanese outdoor onsen (hot spring) during snowy winters

Moving to USA for school by myself when I was 15, and living in different cities throughout US since then.
Any Special Skill / Super Power? (Other than being an amazing dancer)
I’m good at learning languages, including computer coding.
Who Do You Look Up To? (In life or as an artist)
Margot Fonteyn, she was the only ballerina I aspired to be as a young child; Audrey Hepburn, for her beauty, grace and kindness is what I aspire to have.

My backyard — it’s seriously the best place to chill out at during fall, winter or spring. Second pick is Hermann Park/Miller Outdoor Theater, especially when there is a free show going on.
What Do You Do When You’re Not Dancing?
Working in the UDC office, taking care of my fur kids (a pit bull mix rescue and a cat), reading, binge-watching Netflix/Hulu, traveling, studying Pilates.
